Prophetess Marie Lumière Knighted With Cameroon Order Of Merit Medal

Prophetess Marie Lumière knighted by State of Cameroon

Prophetess Marie Lumière featured amongst the numerous citizens, who have been acknowledged by H.E. Paul Biya, President of the Republic of Cameroon with a decoration, in recognition of her good deeds carried out in the country.

Under the theme ‘’Defence Forces and Cameroonian People, In Harmony To Safeguard Peace and National Unity, of a Strong and Prosperous Cameroon,’’ the nation of Cameroon celebrated its 51st National Day.

This was followed by a decoration ceremony of Prophetess Marie Lumière with a medal of the Knight of Cameroonian Order. She was decorated by the Governor of the Centre Region, Naseri Paul Bea at the premises of the Yaounde City Council shortly after the march past at the May 20 Boulevard. This was in compliance with Presidential decree No 2019/6&7 of December 1999. The medal award was followed by feasting at her home.

Born in 1957 in Bandjoun, West Region of Cameroon, the Prophetess since 1982 is engaged in massive charitable and religious activities in and out of Cameroon.

Djuidje Marie Rosine popularly known as Marie Lumière and fondly described as being devoted, righteous, humble, hardworking, and anointed by the Holy Spirit has overtime won the hearts of many Cameroonians citizens and high personalities in the country. This is the reason why on the 20th of May, the state of Cameroon decorated her and other valuable sons and daughters as is the tradition, during every national day.

‘‘My target will be youths, to teach them how to stand strong in the love of Christ. I want to do something that will bring other youths to the understanding that Cameroon is not poor, but that on the contrary, the youths are abandoned and there exists a weakness. So something needs to be done to get them on their feet again’’, she said, while expressing concern for the young, stating that they make up part of her action plan, after the reception of the medal.

The prophetess has been recognised with gold, bronze and silver medals from African countries like Burkina Faso and Senegal as well as in other countries across the world. She now finally has been officially recognized by her motherland, Cameroon, with a medal, depicting the gratitude of the Head of State, on behalf of the Cameroonian people.

She called on all her followers to grasp a better understanding of the message she is trying to get across and do their part selflessly and not for their selfish interest.

‘’Many people claim to do the work of God but they are doing it for their personal interest and for what they stand to gain. Many have spread a twisted message claiming it is the gospel or that it is from God but they do that just for reasons best known to them.’’

The prophetess’ story holds that, her birth was revealed to her late father, François Fotso, who with his wife, her mother, had been facing difficulties in childbearing. He claimed that the Virgin Mary had appeared to him and gave him a package, asking him to keep it and that when it would open up, he shall call it ‘’Mary’’. According to narrations, the circumstances surrounding prophetess Marie’s birth unfolded exactly the way the apparition told her father.

Her mission has been marked by numerous miracles including physical and spiritual healing of the sick by her teachings on redemption and through her prophecies.
